Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy Guidelines:
As per the guidelines of UGC and Supreme Court, an Anti Sexual Harassment Cell (ASHC), also known as Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), has been set up by Mayong Zonal College on 12 June 2016, In order to provide a healthy and conducive environment to the college staff and students, the cell has guidelines and norms to advocate zero tolerance towards sexual harassment The college has tasked this cell with developing principles and procedures to prevent sexual harassment. The Cell develops measures to achieve gender equality in the college, eliminate gender discrimination, sexual harassment and other acts of gender-based violence by organizing various awareness programs and campaigns, etc. The detailed guidelines of the Cell are given below:

Composition of Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell/Internal Complaints Committee:
The Committee will be headed by the Principal of the College, who will be designated as the “Chairperson”.
The cell will consist of three senior female faculty members from the college, one senior male faculty member from the college, and a nominated female student representative. The committee will include the IQAC coordinator as a member of the cell. The committee will consist of parents of girl students of the college. Objectives: The objectives of the committee are Preventing discrimination and sexual harassment against women Ensuring a harassment-free environment in the organization Resolving any complaints of harassment Ensuring the overall well-being of the students and staff of the college Organising gender sensitivity awareness programmes Organising gender legal awareness programmes Powers of the Committee
1. The Committee shall have the power to summon witnesses and to call for documents or any information from any employee/student.
2. The Committee will have the power to recommend action against any person found guilty of sexual harassment, vendetta/victimization and making false allegations of sexual harassment against the accused person.
1. Ensuring that the complaint filing system is secure, accessible and responsive.
2. To take cognizance of complaints regarding sexual harassment, conduct investigations, provide relief and redressal to the victims, recommend punishment and take action against the harasser, if necessary.
3.If the complainant consents, the competent authority may issue a warning or advise the harasser to seek legal recourse to stop the harassment.
4. Seeking medical, police and legal intervention with the consent of the complainant.
5. To arrange for appropriate psychological, emotional and physical support to the victim, if he so desires.
